Women Development Cell

Women Development Cell is founded in our college in the year 2000. It deals with various issues concerning women like Education, Health, Employment, Career Development, Atrocities against women, Property Rights etc.

Objective :

  • To create awareness about women’s rights
  • To sensitize students to gender equality.
  • To empower and protect women within the campus

Activities :

  • A free 5 days Self-defense course was held from 13th to 17th Dec. 2016. About 40 girl students were trained by our alumni SIFU Vikas Chandane.
  • The WDC also held a Poster Making Competition with ‘Gender Equality’ as the theme. The entries clearly revealed the awareness of students regarding gender issues.IMG-20170227-WA0021
  • A guest Lecture on ‘Sexual Harassment’ was held on 27th February 2017. Mrs. Vidula Parab, Advocate, High Court, acquainted the students with the laws pertaining to sexual harassment at the work place & how to deal with this issue.
