Department Of Lifelong Learning And Extension

1. Mission / Objective :

The Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension (D.L.L.E.) known earlier as Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension established on October 12 in the year 1978 and has been recognized as a statutory department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community. The DLLE offers flexible continuing education opportunities for the people.

. Achievements : Field Visit and Prize Distribution Funcation

  DLLE unit of our college organized field co-ordinator visit for second term of the academic year 2018-19. Programme was conducted on 24th Jan., 2019 in College Assembly Hall. Dr. Sulbha Raorane was the co-ordinator and Dr. Ms. S. V. Sant, Principal visited our APY-food stalls arranged by students. Winner students were feliciated by the Dr. Sulb ha Raoran and Principal Dr. Mrs. S. V. Sant.

Report of Elysium:

Date- 14th January, 2019.

 From our college 63 students were participated in different events of Elysium at B. L. Amlani College, Vile Parle. With great efforts of our students we continuously won the Best College Championship trophy for the second time in Elysium festival 2018-19.

1.  Our college was first in registration on that day.

2. Our college was first in maximum number of participations.

3. Our college got 10 certificates and 5 trophies for the winners.

4. Our college won the Best College Trophy.

5. Aishwarya Gawade won the second prize in Newspaper dressing competition.

 6. Pooja Gupta and Mugdha Chavan won 2nd rank in Nail Art.

 7. Aishwarya Gawade won first rank and Vipul Dubey won the 3rd rank in Essay  writing.

 8. Urja pawar won first rank and Viraj sawant won 3rd rank in Doodle making.

9. Niharika Pawar won the 2nd rank in Rangoli competition.

10. Nagesh Bhandari won the 3rd rank in Happy movements.

11. Ankita sawant won the 2nd rank in Solo dance and group dance won 3rd rank.

DLLE 2. Report of community level activity

Date- 24th December, 2018.

 From our college twenty students and two teachers celebrate Christmas event on 22nd December, 2018 with children of slum area in Yogi Nagar at 10:30 a.m.  Activities done on that day as follows:

  1. One student dressed in Santa’s Costume to surprise children.
  2. Students present skit play and played games with children.
  3. Children have enjoyed storytelling and dancing.
  4. We distributed snacks and gifts to children.
  5. Students deliver talk on cleanliness.
4Activities Planning and Implementation
  • Our Institution has 02 units of DLLE consisting of 02 Extension work teachers.
  • The Extension work teachers plan various college level, community level and inter-collegiate activities under the guidance of field co-coordinator (University of Mumbai)
  • Extension work teachers and student managers implement planned activities throughout the year and mobilize active participation of student in these activities.
